Homestay Student Agreement – I promise to!

I UNDERSTAND THAT MY HOMESTAY FAMILY IS EAGER TO MAKE MY STAY PLEASANT AND I PROMISE TO TRY HARD TO UNDERSTAND AND ENJOY MY HOMESTAY FAMILY! AND I PROMISE TO ABIDE BY MY HOMESTAY STUDENT AGREEMENT.

ALSO:

  1. I will abide by all Homestay House Rules of USuccessAbroad and my Homestay Family.
  2. I will pay my rent on time and by cashiers check, personal check or money order to the host family.
  3. I understand that my host family may enjoy my cooking with them and I can discuss this with my host.
  4. I agree to give 4 weeks notice to my host family if I wish to move out.  After I tell my Homestay family I am going to move, I will owe 4 more weeks of rent.
  5. If when I begin Homestay, I may tell my homestay family I will move to an apartment in 4 weeks and that will constitute giving them notice.  I must tell them when I move in.
  6. I understand that after 4 weeks, I may move to other housing and if desired, I may pay a small fee to USA (USuccessAbroad) if I choose to have them find me an appropriate apartment and/or roommate.
  7. I understand that if I wish, I may stay indefinitely with my host family.
  8. I agree that I am responsible for my own medical bills and will secure medical coverage for myself.
  9. USA can end my student homestay agreement for just cause if USA sees a reason to do so.
  10. I understand that I must clean my bedroom when I move and will do so.
  11. I understand that University Success Abroad will host quarterly social events where I may get to know and secure a roomate.  I also may use, for a small fee, USA’s roomate service to assist me in obtaining a roommate.
  12. I, (we), do release and waive any and all claims against University Success Abroad, its principals, employees and Host Family for any loss, accident, injury, delay or expense that results from my participating in a Homestay Program with University Success Abroad.  If any damage or injury occurs to the person or property of others that is caused by me while participating, as a part of this homestay student agreement, I agree to release University Success Abroad, principals and employees and I agree be responsible for and pay for such damages or injury.
